This damask pattern is optimized for use as both Photoshop and Illustrator patterns. In the pattern download file, we’ve included both the native Illustrator pattern as well as a lossless PNG for you to use in Photoshop. This way, you can manipulate the damask pattern in whichever program you prefer. The pattern is basic–gray, with no background, so you can change it based on your needs.

If you are using the damask pattern (or any other seamless pattern) in Illustrator, you may notice thin white lines going through the pattern. This is not due to the pattern–it is, in fact, seamless. It has to do with Illustrator’s way of dealing with anti-aliasing edges. If you save the file as a JPG or PNG (something other than a native Illustrator file), you’ll notice that the lines go away.
